Community Representative Group

The Community Representative Group (CRG) has a primary aim of providing a community perspective on local health matters and community wellbeing and to assist GP Network Northside in its goal to communicate and engage with its local community and deliver local health solutions through General Practice

Purpose and objectives

  • To assist GP Network Northside (GPNN) in understanding the needs, issues and strengths of the local community regarding community health.
  • To inform about local health matters, issues, views and needs so that GPs and their staff may better assist patients and the community.
  • To enhance links and engage with the community about matters relating to health, community wellbeing and general practice.
  • To inform GPNN on consumer perspectives on local health matters.

What is the Role of the Group?

To assist GPNN work towards the following goals:

  • Achieve effective and efficient primary care services.
  • Identify community needs and priorities for local health care and community wellbeing and the best strategies or solutions to meet these.
  • Integrate the views and perspectives of the community into the planning and processes of GPNN.
  • To facilitate communication links and build relationships between general practice and the local community on health matters.
