Practice Nursing
An increasing number of General Practices are choosing to employ the services of Practice Nurses. The Practice Support Team can provide assistance to practices that are:
- considering employing a Practice Nurse;
- recruiting and employing Practice Nurses;
- wishing to access the Practice Nurse Practice Incentive Payment (PIP)
- requiring advice about claiming MBS Practice Nurse Item Numbers.
- orienting new Nurses to the General Practice environment and defining their various job functions.
GPNN also provides ongoing support to Nurses through a Practice Nurse Network email stream (providing information about education, events and resources) and Continuing Nurse Education events.
